The process is described below: <br /> Pre-Loss Planning: <br /> Facilitate and assist in the creation of loss handling procedures with all stakeholders. <br /> Consult on various vendors — independent adjusters, claim preparation accountants, <br /> restoration firms, building engineers, forensic accountants, and various other specialist. <br /> In depth review of County issued coverage wording for various perils. <br /> Coordinate annual CAT Loss Planning meeting with all stakeholders to ensure all parties are <br /> aligned on roles, responsibilities and process should a CAT event occur. <br /> Claims Management, Consulting and Coordination: <br /> Serve as your claims advocate with the panel of insurance carriers on your program. <br /> Report claims to the panel of carriers as well as the nominated and market agreed loss adjuster. <br /> Monitor claims activity on a pre-agreed schedule. <br /> Provide claims reports on a schedule and in the required format. <br /> Attend on-site claims meetings as requested. <br /> Be available on a 24/7 basis. <br /> Facilitate the deployment of vendors to handle a catastrophic event. <br /> Review claims notifications and abstracts to assure appropriate reporting to insurers. <br /> Assist in the review of final settlement documents. <br /> Procurement of Proof of Loss documentation. <br /> Track the status of large or difficult open claims. <br /> Coordinate insurer claims meetings. <br /> Facilitate a dialogue between the County and assigned adjusters. <br /> Respond to coverage questions. <br /> Review open claim reserves for appropriateness and accuracy. <br /> Work with your insurers to correct loss reserves that are inappropriate for the specific loss. <br /> Facilitate advance payments for large catastrophic claims. <br /> Advocate on difficult or disputed coverage issues. <br /> Assist in settlement negotiations and recoveries. <br /> Travel and meet with loss team for large loss events. <br /> Assist in the identification of TPA's vendors as needed. <br /> - 27- /1mant <br />
