She said if one is qualified for other <br /> 11 boards or commissions, she will appoint them. <br /> 12 Commissioner Bedford asked if there is BOCC support to not consider applications that <br /> 13 are received after the agenda is published. <br /> 14 The Board agreed by consensus. <br /> 15 Chair Price asked if staff is still working on the new software. <br /> 16 Tara May said yes, and described what she is able to provide to the Board through the <br /> 17 new software systems. <br /> 18 Commissioner Bedford asked if Tara May could reorganize the information. <br /> 19 Tara May said yes. <br /> 20 Tara May clarified that the BOCC would like to see current board members as well as <br /> 21 new applicants on the same spread sheet, but no attendance data. <br /> 22 Commissioner Bedford said as long as staff is paying attention she would be fine with <br /> 23 not seeing attendance records. <br /> 24 Tara May asked if the Board supports the four questions contained in the abstract. <br /> 25 Chair Price said she does not mind receiving a recommendation, but advisory boards <br /> 26 and commissions need to know that recommendations can be made, but may not be followed. <br /> 27 The Board agreed by consensus. <br /> 28 The Board held discussion on when the advisory board policy was last reviewed. <br /> 29 Tara May said she does not think the Board of Commissioners has had a full review of <br /> 30 the advisory board policy. <br /> 31 Commissioner Bedford asked the County Attorney if he had reviewed the policy. <br /> 32 John Roberts confirmed that he added language about electronic meetings, but there <br /> 33 has not been a formal review. <br /> 34 Chair Price said there have been questions about the purpose of purview of certain <br /> 35 boards. <br /> 36 The Board agreed by consensus to add a review of the policy to the rolling list of <br /> 37 projects. <br /> 38 Chair Price said she would like to see annual reports to come in throughout the year. <br /> 39 She said it is important to validate the work of the boards and commissions. <br /> 40 Chair Price said she would like to know if an applicants meet eligibility requirements, as <br /> 41 well as start and potential roll off dates. <br /> 42 Commissioner Hamilton asked if advisory boards could present to the BOCC when they <br /> 43 have appointments to be made.
