Please briefly describe the proposed program, including an explanation of how it aligns with the Town <br />of Chapel Hill and Carrboro’s Results Framework, and Orange County BOCC Goals and Priorities, and the <br />target population to benefit from the program. (100 words or less) <br />Our program helps safely retain low-income elders in their homes through home repair support and <br />advocacy, improving the county’s community network and providing a higher quality of life for elders. <br />We facilitate “preservation toolkit” workshops that connect residents with the resources that help <br />preserve affordable housing. Finally, we organize a network of attorneys to provide free estate planning <br />to elders throughout the County to protect the wellbeing and diversity of generations to come. This <br />supports the County priorities: “ensuring a community network of basic human services” and “ensuring <br />a high quality of life and lifelong learning that champions diversity.” <br />7.
