A 50' <br />Neuse River buffer must be delineated on the Plan surrounding the pond and the blue <br />line stream. This buffer may be shown as 30' forested! (Zone 1), 20' grassedNegetated <br />(Zone 2). A building line outside of this buffer should also be shown on each lot. <br />Zone 1 on the pond shall begin at the most landward limit of the nmmal water level, or <br />the rooted herbaceous, and extend landward a distance of 30', measured horizontally <br />on a line Perpendicular to the Surface water. Zone 1 on the blue line stream shell begin <br />at the most landward limit of Me top of the bank, or the rooted herbaceous vegetation, <br />and extend Iantlwartl a distance of 30' an all sides of the surface water, measured <br />horizontally on a line perpendicular to Me surface water. <br />Zone 2 shall consist of a stable, vegetated area that is undisturbed except for activities <br />and uses provided for in the agached Table of Uses. Grading and revegetadng Zone 2 <br />is allowed provided that Me heats of the vegetation in Zone 1 is not compromises. <br />Zone 2 shall begin at the outer edge of Zone 1, and extend landward 20' as measured <br />horizontally an a line perpendicular to the surface water. <br />The following is a brief summary of provisions outlined in the Table of Uses that would <br />impact single family lots: <br />• minimal disturbances such as fences are allowed in Zone 2, so long as installation <br />does not require removal of any forest vegetation in Zane 1, <br />
