To assist with the forming of a larger transportation board that will focus on all <br />aspects of transportation within Orange County. <br />Article I-Name: Remove Human Services from Transportation Advisory Board and <br />change name to Transportation Services Board. <br />Article II-Powers and Duties: #2. Emphasize the role of the Transportation Services <br />Board is to provide advice to the public transit service. <br />Article II-Powers and Duties: #6, Change the name of the Development plan to reflect <br />the NCDOT Community Transportation Improvement Plan (CTIP). <br />Page 2: (page 4 of abstract) <br />Article III-Composition/#1.Number and Qualifications: Change the composition ofthe <br />Transportation Services Board with no alternates., The voting members do not have to be <br />residents of Orange County. The intent is to drop agencies or members that have <br />reduced interest in transportation over a period of years and to include agencies that have <br />an active involvement in transportation. Ten members will be the Director or Executive <br />Director or designee appointed by the Board of County Commissioners from the <br />following agencies: <br />(1) Orange County Planning Department <br />(2) Economic Development Commission <br />(:3) Emergency Medical Services <br />(4) O.P.C. Mental Health <br />(5) Orange County Department on Aging <br />(G) Orange Cowrty Department of Social Services <br />(7) Orange County Heahh Department <br />(8) Orange County Recreation and Parks <br />(9) Orange Enterprises <br />(10) Town of Hillsborough <br />
