34 <br /> 1 board meetings and include more information on outside agencies or other entities spending <br /> 2 public funding that might need to be exempted. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Bonnie Hammersley recommended changing the word process to appropriation in the <br /> 5 motion. <br /> 6 Commissioner McKee agreed. <br /> 7 Commissioner Greene asked from whom the data and information will come. <br /> 8 Commissioner McKee said he wants the attorney to bring wording to a work session on <br /> 9 a performance agreement requiring that agencies that receive funding through the outside <br /> 10 agency process be required to receive public comment. <br /> 11 Commissioner Greene said she will not vote for this until the Board hears from non- <br /> 12 profits. <br /> 13 Commissioner Fowler agreed with Commissioner Greene. <br /> 14 Chair Price said the attorney can bring some possible wording as a starting point. <br /> 15 Bonnie Hammersley said there is only one more work session for the year, in November, <br /> 16 and the next viable work session would be in February or March. Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness —2021 Data Update <br /> 27 The Board reviewed updated data about homelessness in Orange County submitted to <br /> 28 the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) earlier this year. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 BACKGROUND: <br /> 31 The Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness (OCPEH) was created in 2008 to <br /> 32 coordinate funding and activities to end homelessness in Orange County. OCPEH is jointly <br /> 33 funded by Orange County (39%) and the Towns of Carrboro (15%), Chapel Hill (41%), and <br /> 34 Hillsborough (5%). <br /> 35 <br /> 36 OCPEH Manager Rachel Waltz will present the updated data and discuss how current data <br /> 37 relate to identified gaps in the homeless service system. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 This item was postponed until the October 19, 2021 Business Meeting. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 8. Consent Agenda <br /> 42 <br /> 43 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 44 None. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 47 <br /> 48 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Bedford, to <br /> 49 approve the consent agenda. <br /> 50 <br /> 51 Roll call ensued <br />
