My brother works in commercial construction, so I have seen the conflicts that can arise <br />between a local authority and industry first hand. I believe I could bring a wealth of knowledge <br />and enthusiasm to the Housing Authority. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />Affordable Housing is an important social equity issue facing our community. I would like to be a <br />participatory member of the community based solutions for this challenging issue. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br />Alcoholic Beverage Control Board <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />I have worked in restaurants a good deal of my life, so I understand what issues they face from <br />a beverage standpoint. I am also a graduate student at UNCs School of Government and <br />therefore have knowledge both of the problem surrounding under-aged drinki <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I find all the challenges surrounding the ABC Board and serving the community is this way <br />fascinating.
