3 <br /> Slide #3 <br /> Heakh a Safety Protocola <br /> RcMded F Do '. <br /> k <br /> Slide #4 <br /> COWD-19 GaoT <br /> TESnNG PROGRAM <br /> RIAGNOSrICAND KREENIN6 <br /> FORSTUDENTS AND STAFF <br /> HIRE 16COVID RELATED <br /> 5UPR4RT ROSrfI�NS <br /> Commissioner Hamilton asked if the school system has a standard protocol when there <br /> is a cluster of COVID-19 cases in the schools. <br /> Dr. Nyah Hamlett said there has only been one cluster (5 positive cases in one class) <br /> thus far, but the district has had to shut down three classrooms, due to close contacts with <br /> COVID-19. <br /> Commissioner Fowler asked if the school system is problem solving with the ABC <br /> Science Collaborative to determine how the cluster happened. <br /> Dr. Nyah Hamlett said they have worked with the ABC Collaborative and the Health <br /> Department in these cases. She said students are allowed to remain in school as long as mask <br /> compliance is enforced. She said if there is a positive case in the classroom, but students have <br /> been wearing their masks, students do not have to be sent home unless they are symptomatic. <br /> Commissioner Fowler asked if all students are eating outside. <br /> Dr. Nyah Hamlett said yes, all students eat outside unless there is inclement weather. <br /> Chair Price asked if there is a plan for the 26 support positions in the future, as they are <br /> grant funded. She also asked if individuals are interested in a time limited position. <br />
