Has your organization or have your collaborators/partners completed projects of this type in the
past? If so, what funds were used?
☒ Yes
☒ Funding used (Please describe): A single rooftop solar panel installation has been funded and is
to be installed in early 2021. Funding was by cash donation from Rotary and in-kind donation
from Southern Energy Management.
☐ No

11. If this project is not selected for funding in this round, what other funding might be used to support
it within the next 5 years?
☐ Other capital or operational funds
☐ None. This is a unique opportunity.
☒ Unknown (please describe below): If this project is not selected for funding in this round, we will
seek funding from (as yet unidentified) alternate grant sources. Already secured sources alone
would not be sufficient to fund solar panel installation on ten homes, and the scope of the proposed
project would need to be reduced if funding was not fully awarded. In addition to funding from
Rotary and in-kind contributions from Southern Energy Management, we are also researching the
possibility of Duke Energy solar rebates and/or federal tax incentives. We have been in contact with
some nonprofit solar organizations, but funds are not currently available. While other grant sources
will be sought as they are available, this will significantly delay the implementation of the project.

12.
