Applicant organization’s Purpose/Mission (no more than 2-4 sentences): Seeking to put God’s love <br />into action, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County brings people together to build homes, <br />communities, and hope. Our vision is an Orange County where everyone has a decent place to live. <br /> <br />3. Please provide a brief description of your organization’s past achievements in carrying out similar <br />projects and evidence of successful record of meeting proposed budgets and timetables (no more <br />than 2-4 sentences). Since its founding in 1984, Habitat has built nearly 300 new homes and repaired <br />nearly 200 existing homes in Orange County. Many of these projects have been completed on time <br />and on budget using funding from Orange County. Since 2008, all Habitat homes in Orange County <br />have been green-certified. We now seek to increase our commitment to energy efficiency and <br />climate action by beginning to outfit our homes with rooftop solar panels as well. <br /> <br />4. We also have a core crew who <br />volunteer 8 hours at least once a week, and folks who fall everywhere in between.
