He <br /> said he hoped Durham County will become more involved. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs asked if the completion of the historic properties book is still on <br /> track. <br /> David Stancil said yes, and this is part of the non-departmental budget. He said the <br /> Historic Preservation Commission is working on this. He said it is a heavy undertaking, but will <br /> be a remarkable document when finished in about a year or so. <br /> Commissioner Price referred to Fairview Park, and asked if there is a timeline for <br /> improvements there and if there has been any discussion regarding community center. <br /> David Stancil said he has not heard much about the need for a community center, other <br /> than second hand anecdotal accounts.
