Please briefly describe the proposed program, including an explanation of how it aligns <br />with the Town of Chapel Hill and Carrboro’s Results Framework, and Orange County <br />BOCC Goals and Priorities, and the target population to benefit from the program. (100 <br />words or less) <br />The museum will design and present free exhibits to engage and educate the public about <br />the dynamic history of Orange County. Programs, events, lectures, and a variety of <br />educational offerings will provide further educational opportunities for the public, through <br />which the museum will strive to promote diversity and life-long learning. The museum will <br />also continue to increase engagement and collaboration with other nonprofits, including the <br />Alliance for Historic Hillsborough, Burwell School, Hillsborough Garden Club, and Orange <br />County schools to integrate and coordinate programs and events. In doing so, the museum <br />will also work towards building stronger engagement with schools. <br />7.
