7/28/2021 SL 2018-22(HB 284) <br /> 18 <br /> SECTION 4. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, in <br /> order to administer the changes to the special retirement allowance, as well as the change in <br /> creditable service required for law enforcement officers to retire with a reduced benefit, as <br /> provided for in Sections 2 and 3 of this act, the Retirement Systems Division of the <br /> Department of State Treasurer may increase receipts from the retirement assets of the <br /> corresponding retirement system or pay costs associated with the administration of these <br /> changes directly from the retirement assets. <br /> SECTION 5. Sections 2 and 3 of this act become effective July 1, 2019. The <br /> remainder of this act is effective when it becomes law. <br /> In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 14th day of June, <br /> 2018. <br /> s/ Philip E.
