Tryon St, PO Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />office: (919) 245-2492 cell: (919) 901-7567 <br />croot@orangecountync.gov <br />Title: Conflict Resolution and Communication Skills <br />Dates: TBD <br />Time: 6 total hours- 4 virtual sessions at 1.5 hours per session, 2 trainers <br />Participants: Maximum: 36 <br />Location: Virtual- Zoom <br /> <br />Description of course: <br /> <br />This 4-day training series will be designed in conjunction with leadership at <br />Orange County Housing and Community Development, to meet the needs of <br />employees when dealing with internal conflict and work with the public. <br />Through hands-on practice and role play, participants will develop skills related <br />to conflict resolution, practice these skills, and develop a shared understanding <br />of how the skills can be put to use in their day-to-day roles. Two trainers will be <br />sued to accommodate more personal instruction with a larger group. <br />Preparation for the training will consist of the development of appropriate <br />curricula and role plays, based specifically on the training needs of Orange <br />County. <br /> <br /> <br /> During these workshops, participants will: <br /> <br /> Understand conflict theory and choices when faced with difficult <br />workplace issues; <br /> Learn listening skills, including reflective listening for de-escalating <br />conflict; <br /> Learn skills for effectively asserting oneself and giving feedback when <br />faced with difficult situations and; <br /> Learn how to apply these skills when navigating employee conflict <br /> <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: A3D800F5-803A-4916-9C99-0471DA4D5263
