Our location and programs bridge campus and <br />community. The <br />Museum’s permanent collection consists of 19,000 works, featuring <br />the state’s premier collections of Asian art and works of art on paper, <br />and significant collections of European masterworks, twentieth- <br />century and contemporary art. In addition to permanent collection <br />galleries, the Ackland organizes four major special exhibitions a year, <br />and works to acquire, research, publish and preserv e works of art in <br />their care.
