Please explain your
intended use of a
Restart the Arts
Grant, if awarded.
Funding from the Restart the Arts Grant will be used to directly
support the salaries of the Artistic Director and the Rehearsal
Accompanist. As in 2020/2021, should pandemic conditions in
2021/2022 require, we will continue to practice and perform through a
v irtual env ironment, and we will continue to employ the Artistic
Director and Rehearsal Accompanists.
COVID-19 has not only impacted our fundraising efforts but has also
impacted the way we practice and perform. W e believ e in
the importance of the work that we do for the Orange County
community and hav e made ev ery effort to continue our work through
the pandemic.
The budgeted cost for salaries the 2021/2022 fiscal year is $22,000
for the Artistic Director and $9,000 for the Accompanist, which
represents 42% of the program budget ($74,607). An additional
$22,000, or 29% of the program budget is to support local contract
musicians and an artist commissioned piece and an additional
$7,700, or 10% of the program budget is for rental of rehearsal and
performance spaces in Orange County.
Please explain
measures taken by
your organization to
mitigate the spread
of COVID-19.
Since March 15, 2020, VOICES has practiced and performed v irtually
v ia Zoom. Performances hav e been made av ailable free of charge to
the public on our website:
https://www.v oiceschapelhill.org/about/watch-and-listen/ In person
meetings, where conducted, hav e followed all CDC guidelines,
including use of PPE, sanitization of hard surfaces and the use of
v entilation and /or outdoor meeting spaces. Future measures will
follow all CDC guidelines, as will the decision whether to practice
and/or perform in person or v ia a v irtual platform.
COVID-19 IMPACT
DATA
This data is for the OCAC's informational purposes only and may or
may not be applicable to your organization depending on your
structure.
Number of Staff
Eliminated since
March 15, 2020
0
Number of Staff
Positions
Furloughed/Hours
Reduced since
March 15, 2020
2
Number of Public
Events Cancelled
since March 15,
2020
8
DocuSign Envelope ID: 1AF90AAC-CB09-474D-AB50-E09E3018B5D0
