<br />013300.4 –SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />Project Manual for Motor Pool Main Building Roof Replacement <br />Orange County, Hillsborough, NC <br />Prepared by Atlas Engineering, Inc., 551-A Pylon Drive – Raleigh, NC 27606 <br />August 2021 <br />3.02 TIMING OF SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Make submittals far enough in advance of scheduled dates of Notice to Proceed, and the start of <br />work or installation of specific products to provide time required for review by the Engineer, for <br />securing necessary approvals, for possible revisions and resubmittals, and for placing order and <br />securing delivery of materials. <br /> <br />B. In scheduling, allow a minimum of ten (10) working days from date of Engineer’s receipt of the <br />submittal for his review. <br /> <br />C. Contractor accepts responsibility for delays resulting from incomplete or late submittal packages. <br /> <br />D. Work completed without approved submittals may be subject to rejection. <br /> <br />3.03 DESIGNER'S REVIEW <br /> <br />A. Partial submittals may be rejected for non-compliance with the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />B. Review by Designer does not relieve Contractor from responsibility of conforming to the technical <br />specifications and drawings or for errors which may exist in the submitted data. <br /> <br />C. Revisions: <br /> 1. Make revisions when required by Designer and resubmit for review. <br />2. If the Contractor considers any required revision to be a change, he shall so notify the <br />Designer as provided for in the article for "Changes in the Work" of the General Conditions. <br /> 3. Make only those revisions directed or approved by the Designer. <br /> <br />D. The Engineer will provide an initial review and up to two subsequent reviews of each required <br />submittal. Submittal reviews in excess of this due to incomplete submittals or failure to address <br />review comments may result in additional cost to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to require <br />reimbursement of this additional cost by the Contractor. <br /> <br />3.04 CLAIMS FOR EXTRA COST: No claim for extra cost shall be approved solely based on work <br />shown on shop drawings unless such claim is made on the Contractor's letter of transmittal <br />accompanying the shop drawings and is approved by the Owner in writing. <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION 013300 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 9514E4EC-C3C9-4752-8A7F-22E83B22BB8E
