<br /> <br />012100.1 – BASE BID ALLOWANCES (ESTIMATED QUANTITIES) <br /> <br />Project Manual for Motor Pool Main Building Roof Replacement <br />Orange County, Hillsborough, NC <br />Prepared by Atlas Engineering, Inc., 551-A Pylon Drive – Raleigh, NC 27606 <br />August 2021 <br />SECTION 012100 <br /> <br />BASE BID ALLOWANCES (ESTIMATED QUANTITIES) <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. This Section includes requirements governing estimated quantities of work to be included within the <br />Base Bid cost and the associated unit prices requested to aid in reconciliation between quantities <br />estimated and actual work performed. Refer to Section 010100 for additional information regarding <br />Base Bid scope of work. <br /> <br />B. Refer to specification sections 061000 and 073113 for technical requirements regarding base bid <br />allowance (estimated quantity) work. <br /> <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Provide submittals for products to be repaired, removed, and or installed as a part of the work in <br />accordance with Section 013300 and the technical specification sections in which they are specified. <br /> <br />1.03 ESTIMATED QUANTITY WORK <br /> <br />A. Estimated quantities are provided below for replacement of materials discovered to be <br />deteriorated, damaged, missing, and/or installation of additional work that is not specifically <br />designated in the specifications, but may become necessary. The cost to perform the estimated <br />quantity of each work item listed below shall be included within the Base Bid. <br /> <br /> Work Item Estimated Quantity <br />1. Wood Blocking Replacement per Section 061000 500 BD FT <br />2. Oriented Strand Board Replacement per Section 061000 640 SQ FT <br />3. Supplemental Fastening of OSB per Section 073110 12 PER 100 <br />4. Exterior Sheathing Replacement per Section 073110 200 SQ FT <br />5. Tectum E plank replacement per Section 061000 1 EA <br /> <br />1.04 UNIT PRICES FOR ESTIMATED QUANTITY WORK ITEMS <br /> <br />A. A unit price for each of the estimated quantity work items listed above is requested on the Form <br />of Proposal. Unit prices provided by the Contractor will be used for the purpose of adding or <br />deducting from the Contract Sum by Change Order in the event that the actual performed <br />amounts of each estimated quantity work item listed in Paragraph 1.03A are more than, or less <br />than, the estimated quantity included in the Base Bid. <br /> <br />B. The unit prices provided on the Form of Proposal shall include all costs associated with the work <br />including, but not limited to, removal of materials to be replaced, preparation of substrates and <br />adjacent surfaces for associated installation, and material, labor, overhead and profit, insurance, <br />taxes, shipping costs, accessory items/equipment/tools. <br /> <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 9514E4EC-C3C9-4752-8A7F-22E83B22BB8E
