010100.5 –SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> <br />Project Manual for Motor Pool Main Building Roof Replacement <br />Orange County, Hillsborough, NC <br />Prepared by Atlas Engineering, Inc., 551-A Pylon Drive – Raleigh, NC 27606 <br />August 2021 <br /> <br />G. Contractor shall provide a superintendent, foreman, or other representative from the Contractor <br />that is in a supervisory position and fluent in English, who will be on the site anytime that work is <br />in progress. If workers installing the roof are under subcontract and are not direct employees of <br />the contractor, a representative or personnel in a supervisory position (Superintendent) directly <br />employed by the Prime Contractor must be present full time anytime work is occurring on site. <br /> <br /> <br />1.03 PERMITS <br /> <br />A. The Contractor shall apply for, secure and pay for all permits, governmental fees, inspections and <br />licenses necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work, which are applicable at <br />the time that Bids are received. Contractor shall provide evidence of acceptance of work by <br />submitting inspection forms from appropriate agencies indicating acceptance of work. <br /> <br />1.04 CONTRACT TIME AND SCHEDULING <br /> <br />A. The contract time from the Notice to Proceed to project acceptance for Base Bid work is 75 days. <br />The Notice to Proceed date is anticipated to be set as early as possible following execution of <br />construction contracts. <br /> <br />1.05 BASE BID <br /> <br />A. The Base Bid includes the following scope of work shown on the drawings and specified in the <br />Project Manual: Roof replacement of all roof areas with new nailbase, underlayment, and <br />shingled roof system and new exterior metal wall panels to form a rainscreen over the existing <br />EIFS. <br /> <br />B. The Base Bid shall also include the estimated quantities of work specified in Section 012100 <br />of this Project Manual. <br /> <br />1.06 BID ALTERNATES <br /> <br />A. Alternate Bid #1: Install a vented nailbase over the existing OSB in lieu of the standard nailbase, <br />install associated vented details and flashings in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements <br />and the applicable sections of the specifications and detail drawings. <br /> <br />1.07 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br /> <br />A. For products specified by association or trade standards, comply with the requirements of the <br />latest standard, except when more rigid requirements are specified or required by applicable <br />codes. <br /> <br />B.
