Correct conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of the work. Do not proceed <br />until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. <br /> <br />C. Locate joints to be prepared and confirm widths and lengths to ensure proper materials are on <br />hand. <br /> <br />D. Do not add liquids, solvents, or powders to the sealant. Mix multi-component elastomeric <br />sealants in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. <br /> <br />E. Thoroughly remove all existing materials (sealants, backer rod, mortar, etc.) from the existing joint. <br />Resulting joint shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove residue, and properly prepared to receive new <br />materials. Use mechanical means for cleaning if necessary being careful not to cause damage to <br />surrounding surfaces. <br /> <br />F. All surfaces to be in contact with sealant shall be dry, sound, and well brushed and wiped free from <br />dust. <br /> <br />G.
