Fabricate and install eave and rake trim, including gutters and downspouts/brackets/boots as <br />detailed on the drawings.. <br /> <br />H. Abrasions, scratches, scrapes, etc. shall be touched up with paint furnished by the sheet metal <br />manufacturer. Physical damage to standing seams or panel edges may result in rejection by the <br />Designer, and require removal and replacement of the panel. Minor damage that is accepted by <br />the Designer must be touched-up to prevent potential corrosion at damaged pre-finish coat. <br />Touch-up paint activities must be coordinated with the Designer to allow for direction by <br />Designer and Owner prior to proceeding. <br /> <br />I. Coating for Non-galvanized steel: Apply primer and minimum 2 coats of specified paint. Prepare <br />surfaces to be painted in strict accordance with the paint manufacturer product data and instructions. <br />Evenly apply each coat avoiding holidays, drips, and voids. Take care not to allow painted materials <br />to come into contact before paint is dry. <br /> <br />3.03 COUNTERFLASHINGS <br /> <br />A. Form and install new counterflashings along wall transitions, and at other locations shown on the <br />design details. Exact counterflashing length and profile will vary based on configuration of <br />roofing detail. Adjacent counterflashing pieces shall overlap each other a minimum of 4" in the <br />direction of slope (when applicable). <br /> <br />B. Counterflashings shall be secured at 6" o.c. maximum unless otherwise noted on the design <br />details. <br /> <br />C. Miter counterflashing corners so they nest together without gaps, sharp edges, or open/split <br />corners. Do not cut/split and bend counterflashing around corners. <br /> <br />3.04 GUTTER AND DOWNSPOUTS <br /> <br />A. Gutter and downspouts shall be the sizes and general profiles as shown on the design drawings. <br /> <br />B. Gutter shall be fabricated in sections not less than 10 feet in length and shall be complete with end <br />pieces, outlet tubes, and special pieces that may be required. Gutter sections shall be lapped a <br />minimum of 2”, joined with rivets at 1” o.c., and sealed between lapped pieces with sealant. Unless <br />otherwise indicated provide expansion joints with cover plates where indicated on the roof plans. <br />Maximum gutter length shall be 50-feet between expansion joints. Gutter size is to match existing. <br /> <br />C. Gutter outlet tubes shall be formed with locked longitudinal seam. Upper end of tube shall be riveted <br />to the gutter minimum 4 rivets. Flange shall be sealed against water leakage.
