Applicant Organization & Collaborator Information <br />Please provide the following information about the primary applicant organization: <br />1.Date of Incorporation (Month/Year): February, 1909 <br />2.Applicant organization’s Purpose/Mission (no more than 2-4 sentences): <br />The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the <br />political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race- <br />based discrimination. <br />3.Please provide a brief description of your organization’s past achievements in carrying out <br />similar projects and evidence of successful record of meeting proposed budgets and timetables (no <br />more than 2-4 sentences). <br /> Since 1909 the NAACP has successfully restored and expanded social justice and racial equity for <br />countless individuals. More recently t he NAACP has initiated the Environmental and Climate Justice <br />Program that creates resources and leadership for reducing greenhouse gas emissions through <br />building retrofits in under-served communities. Although the NAACP is new to retrofitting buildings, <br />they have built a partnership that includes two organizations with a proven track record for <br />economical and timely retrofits: Rebuilding Together of the Triangle and Habitat for Humanity of <br />Orange County. <br />4.Living Wage: Does this organization pay permanent employees a minimum living wage? (Yes / <br />No) <br />The Chapel Hill-Carrboro branch of the NAACP does not have any paid employees. <br />If yes, is this organization an Orange County Living Wage Certified Employer ? <br />If no, please briefly explain. <br />5.Schedule of Positions: <br />a.Number of Full-Time Paid Positons: _0_ <br />b.Number of Part-Time Paid Positions: _0_ <br />c.Number of volunteers 25 and average hours worked per volunteer per month_5_. <br />Please provide the following information about all significant collaborators and partners whether or <br />not they will be receiving grant funding for this project .
