ORANGE COUNTY ARTS COMMISSION <br /> April 12, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Virtual Meeting - GoToMeeting <br /> Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair, Anita Hill, Vice Chair; <br /> Delia Keefe, Secretary; Linda Williamson, Justin Haslett,Matthew Keith, Sean Bailey, Brad <br /> Porter, Dan Mayer,Krista Bremer, Marlon Torres, John Bemis, Chrystal Wu,Lindsay Metivier <br /> Board Members absent: <br /> Staff Present: Katie Murray, Executive Director; Emilie Menzel, Assistant <br /> L Fred called the meeting to order at 6:33pm. <br /> II. All board members introduced themselves to the group. <br /> III. Krista moved to approve the March 2021 minutes. Linda seconded. <br /> IV. Board Update <br /> a. Sarah Shore is approved and will be appointed in May. <br /> We will have a full board as of May. <br /> IV. Director's Report: <br /> a. Eno Mill Update <br /> Katie will relocate her office to a forward facing area at <br /> the front of the mill. Advantages of the move include a very <br /> reduced rental rate, an external door, and space for classes, <br /> performance, and exhibits. Katie will discuss financial issues <br /> with her boss this week. <br /> b. The FY21-22 Budget Update <br /> The budget has experienced a 30% loss this year and <br /> a 70% loss is projected for next year. The arts need some <br /> of the American Rescue Plan funds. OCAC is requesting <br /> $6000 which is 2% of the county money. The funds will <br /> be used for programs, training, and operations support. <br /> c. Big Night in for the Arts proceeds discussion <br /> The net proceeds for Orange County are $40,000. <br /> Funding will go to relief grants, diversity and inclusion <br /> training, and arts and education. <br /> d. Grants Update <br />
