She explained how the Committee would like to have a book for adults and a book <br /> for youth to have multi-generational Community Book Read. <br /> The Committee is leaning towards choosing Cast for the adult read. The young <br /> adult read would be The Black Panther Party: A Graphic Novel History. <br /> Commissioner Castillo asked HRC members to save the date for October 17th at 3 <br /> pm for the Community Read. The Committee will inform the HRC of the book <br /> read activities at t a later date. <br /> VII. Other Business/Announcement/Upcoming Events <br /> A. Commissioner Castillo requested HRC members to mark their calendars the Pauli <br /> Murray/Carolina K-12 event will be a virtual event held on September 23, 2021, from 5 <br /> pm-6:30 pm. <br /> B. Commissioner Dion Graham inquired about the feedback from the community listening <br /> session will be utilized. Commissioner Castillo commented how she would need to follow <br /> up with Commissioner Ward-Satterfield regarding this inquiry. <br /> C. Ms. Moore announced that Board of County Commissioner,Mark Dorison,will be leaving <br /> Orange County to teach at Florida A&M University at the end of July 2021. <br /> VIII. Adjourn <br /> A.
