Call to Order—Frances Castillo, Chair <br /> A. Commissioner Frances Castillo called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm. <br /> I. Approval of Statement— February 8, 2021 <br /> A. Commissioner Stephanie Harrell motioned for the HRC to make and publish a statement <br /> addressing violence against Asian Americans and people of Asian descent. Commissioner <br /> Mahaley seconded the motion. All were in favor of the motion. <br /> III. Approval of Executive Committee drafting a resolution for API Heritage Month <br /> A. Commissioner Ana Garcia-Turner motioned for the executive committee to be given <br /> limited delegated authority to write the resolution regarding Asian American and Pacific <br /> Islander Heritage Month.
