Connect NC86, South Churton & Oakdale through the Corbin Downs & Gateway Oaks <br />properties, extend east to New Hope Church Rd <br />9. Create north /south connector connecting the extension of Old 10 with the road above in the <br />Contain Downs Project <br />10. Connect Lafayette Drive with north/south Corbin Downs connector <br />11. Create a nom1south connector, through Collins property, connecting Orange Grove Road and <br />JJ Freeland extensions <br />Other improvements: <br />12.Align Eno Mountain Road & Mayo Street <br />13. Widen 70 bypass (in town plan but not in state TIP) <br />14.Add Win shows to existing signalized locations, especially downtown <br />15.Add right Win lane onto Mayo Street for south bound traffic <br />16.Add right turn lane onto Oakdale Drive for south bound tic <br />17. Provide longer turn lanes accessing Orange High School Road <br />18. Improve lane configuration at the 1- 85 /Chunon Street Interchange <br />19. Add turn lanes and pedestrian facilities at NC88/U570 Bypass intersection <br />20. Widen NC 86 between US 70 Bypass and NC57 and add bike and ped features <br />21. Straighten and make turn lane improvements along EBand Cedar Grove Rd., and make moo <br />direct connection to 1 -85 <br />Policy recommendations: <br />Encourage County to provide perk & ride for employees <br />• Consider policy about mad widening similar to Carrboros— nothing greater than <br />lanes in town <br />• Be up a standing joint t own /county commldee to address transportation issues. <br />Issues for another day <br />Non -road improvements needed <br />
