DISTRICT 2 Martha Jenkins–Yes, no way around that if we do geographical districts Patrick Mulkey–It will depend on the legally defined numbers,just as it is now. Alicia Reid–No Jenn Sykes–Makes sense given population DISTRICT 1 Kathy Arab–No Jennifer Bremer–Yes, although it appears that a lot of the growth may be outside the city limits. Jaaz Catterall–Yes,though very open to discussion on this—this makes sense mathematically, based on the population info we were given, but there are obvious and valid concerns about the impact this would have on the rest of the county. Lisa Hazirjian–Yes, given the realities of population distribution. Krishna Mondal–Yes,this would be acceptable. Jonathan Weiler–Yes 8) Would a district format that, due to population numbers, resulted in all of the Town of Hillsborough, the area immediately around Efland, and the area in Orange County near Mebane being located within the same district be acceptable? DISTRICT 2 Martha Jenkins–Not sure–would have to see the whole map. Patrick Mulkey–Yes, see number 7 Alicia Reid–No Jenn Sykes–No, and I don't see a situation where the numbers actually work out that way if you have 7 commissioners DISTRICT 1 Kathy Arab– NO, I don't think so. Those regions might be better represented by their own separate districts. Jennifer Bremer–Yes,that would be acceptable to me. It's basically the 1-40 corridor, right? Jaaz Catterall– No, not unless the group members from District 2 found that acceptable Lisa Hazirjian–Yes, with the caveat that as a District One resident I strongly defer to folks who live in those areas.
