(“We”, “Designer”, “Salas O’Brien”, “SO”) propose to provide design and construction observation services to <br />Orange County, NC (“You”, “Owner”, “OC”) for the following project: <br /> <br />Project Scope: <br /> <br />This project shall consist of renovating the Emergency Management Warehouse located at 510 Meadowlands Dr, Hillsborough, NC 27278. <br />The warehouse is 10,000 square feet. The project will implement the recommendations from the study performed by Stanford White, dated <br />November 11, 2020. <br /> <br />Scope of Services: <br /> <br />Design Phase <br />The Designer will provide the following design phase services: <br /> <br />Construction Documents <br />Preparation of construction documents for review and comment by Owner and required regulatory agencies. These documents shall consist of <br />drawings and technical specifications, setting forth in detail the requirements for the construction of the Project. <br /> <br />Construction Phase <br />The Designer will participate in the following construction phase services: <br /> <br />• Attend pre-bid meeting. <br />• Attend bid opening. <br />• Attend pre-construction conference. <br />• Review shop drawing submittals. <br />• Review requests for information. <br />• Review contractor pay applications. <br />• Visit the site 4 times during construction. <br />• Attend pre-final inspection. <br />• Attend final inspection. <br />• Assist with preparation of closeout documentation. <br /> <br />No services provided by the Designer shall give rise to a duty or responsibility of the Designer to the Contractor(s) or Subcontractors. The <br />Designer will not have control over or charge of and shall not be responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or <br />procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work, since these are solely the Contractor(s)'s responsibility. The <br />Designer does not guarantee the performance of the Contractor and shall not be responsible for the Contractor’s failure to perform its Work in <br />accordance with the Contract Documents or any applicable laws, codes, rules or regulations. <br /> <br />Designer Disciplines <br />The Designer will provide professional services in the following disciplines: <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 15A84315-697D-4EA0-8D7D-002E59674239
