She said a work session may be helpful <br /> in the fall. <br /> Travis Myren welcomed the Commissioners to send individual comments to him directly, <br /> after they have been able to fully review the plan. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he would like to hear more about how the needs are <br /> prioritized within the broader categories. He said there were COVID impacts that affected <br /> everyone, and broadly affected the provision of County services. He said there were disparities <br /> prior to COVID, however, and that gap has only widened during the past year. He said there <br /> may be more specifics in the whole plan, which he did not see. He said only a portion of federal <br /> money coming in to the schools has to be directed to prioritize low wealth students, and the <br /> larger percentage can be spent on COVID-related things. He said he would like the proportions <br /> to be higher for those who are most disproportionately affected. He said he would like to <br /> explore how to ensure more resources are going towards addressing the worsening disparities, <br /> and noted it will take more resources to lift those folks back up. <br /> Travis Myren said there is no recommended percentage for allocation, but there are <br /> specific initiatives directed toward disparities that were exacerbated.
