2 <br /> Chair Price said Commissioner Dorosin has announced his resignation, effective July <br /> 31, 2021. She reviewed the process for replacing Commissioner Dorosin in light of his <br /> resignation. She said the Democratic Party will screen nominees, make recommendations to <br /> the Board, and the Board can take the Party's recommendation, or choose someone else. She <br /> said the Board will have 60 days after Commissioner Dorosin's last day to make an <br /> appointment, and if this is not done, the Clerk of Superior Court will do so. She said the Board <br /> will work with the Democratic Party on a timeline, and keep staff informed. <br /> Commissioner Greene said the appointee has to be a resident of District 1. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin arrived at 7:02 p.m. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he has accepted a position as Associate Professor and <br /> Director of Clinical Programs at Florida A&M University School of Law, and will be moving to <br /> Orlando, Florida in August.
