She said the County <br /> has seen a benefit by having this dedicated position. <br /> Commissioner Hamilton asked about occupancy tax collections. She said there is a <br /> better outlook for the economy, and wondered if collections will be higher. <br /> Travis Myren said the formula looks back a year, so it is based on collections from a <br /> time during the economic downturn. <br /> Commissioner Hamilton said it is likely the reduction in revenues will not actually occur. <br /> She asked if increased collections would go to fund balance <br /> Travis Myren said it would go to the Visitor's Bureau fund balance. <br /> Commissioner Hamilton said the increased revenue would go to the Visitor's Center <br /> Fund balance, but the shortfall would be covered by ARPA monies. <br /> Travis Myren said the Arts Commission is budgeted in the Visitor's Center fund. He said <br /> an overages or excess would remain in the Visitor's Bureau fund.
