WIM[CAROLINA <br /> Commissioner Fowler asked if more information could be provided about the Social <br /> Justice Fund and the Commissioners' Contingency funds. <br /> Travis Myren said the Social Justice Fund is used to fund a variety of different activities. <br /> He said this past year it was used for emergency housing needs. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said in prior years it was used for childcare needs, and has been <br /> primarily used for social services and housing needs. She said the purpose of the fund was to <br /> give the Board of County Commissioners the ability to respond to social justice needs in the <br /> community. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said the Commissioners' Contingency funds are used as needed. <br /> She said in next year's budget, it could be used for travel and training needs.
