She said she did <br /> not want to rely on the Social Justice Fund, because these funds may be needed for OWASA <br /> bills or other needs. <br /> Chair Price said she would want to set aside $250,000 to relieve tax burdens. She said <br /> the Cheek Jackson Center would be eligible to pursue some of these funds. <br /> Commissioner Fowler said she could support either. <br /> Commissioner Greene said she wants specificity on this motion, and there should be a <br /> limit of the AMI. She said $500,000 is too high, and she would stop it at 80% <br /> Commissioner McKee asked if the Board would accept a change of wording in the <br /> amendment to say that $250,000 be set aside for grant tax assistance for those making 80% <br /> less than the AMI, with details being worked out in a work session after summer break. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he would include the phrase "as well as any other criteria, <br /> as established." He said $250,000 is the right amount. <br /> The Board agreed by consensus with Commissioner Dorosin's additional wording. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin, to <br /> approve setting aside $250,000 for grant tax assistance for those making 80% less than the <br /> AMI, as well as other criteria as established. <br /> Roll call ensued. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
