She said in many departments technology has advanced, so <br /> there was not as much need for postage, as an example. She said all of the departments cuts <br /> only resulted in a gain of about a half million dollars, because it only included operating <br /> expenses, not personnel. She said the majority of costs in all departments is personnel, so if <br /> there are any hardships going forward, she will work with department directors to help find what <br /> they need. <br /> Annette Moore, Human Rights and Relations Director, said she would rather cut <br /> operating costs than personnel.
