I also worked briefly in the pharmaceutical industry <br /> providing health care provider educational opportunities. I have experience working with geriatric <br /> patients, children, and individuals with special needs. I have lived in North Carolina my entire life <br /> and have spent the last 31 years in Orange and Durham County working and raising my family. <br /> This is my home. I do not have the physical ability to hold down a full-time job due to rheumatoid <br /> arthritis, but I am excited to explore this opportunity to lend assistance in shaping the health <br /> outcomes of the residents here. I have been the primary caregiver for my own daughter for the <br /> last 25 years, cared for my mother during her battle with lung cancer, and helped many friends <br /> and neighbors in times of crisis.
