W ith IONA Clothing, I offer women's clothing with
a focus on ethical production, sustainable fabrics and my local
community. I hope to ev entually establish a supply chain located in
North Carolina - from field to garment.
Provide a brief
description of your
pre-pandemic core
arts-related
programming or
offerings.
Before March 2000, I was more inv olv ed in the patternmaking aspect
of my business, creating for other designers. Many of the small
companies I worked with put a halt on dev elopment, and no
costuming work was coming in.
North Carolina’s
“stay at home” order
(Executive Order
117) had a profound
impact on the arts
sector. Describe the
specific steps your
organization took to
comply with
Executive Order 117.
Since the garment industry slowed down so much, I had more free
time to dev elop my own designs. The stay-at-home order gav e me
the jump start needed to piv ot towards my own designs.
DocuSign Envelope ID: F25F665B-E20B-48B7-923B-3DAD88D64318
