Deliverables will include a project <br />manual and final construction drawings. <br />Bid Administration: DAA will assist the County in soliciting the project for bid, assist in <br />conducting a bid opening, evaluate the bids received, and make a recommendation of award <br />to the County. Upon Award of the Bid by the Town, DAA will prepare and assist in proper <br />execution of the contract documents, respond to contractors’ questions, provide input for <br />addenda (if required), and provide technical support through the contracting process. We will <br />assist the County in obtaining and reviewing construction contract documentation and other <br />preliminary actions through issuance of formal Notice-to-Proceed. <br />Construction Administration: During construction, we will assist the County in administration of <br />the construction agreement between the County and Contractor. We will provide services to <br />include the following: <br />• participation in a pre-construction meeting and other periodic project meetings <br />(typically weekly while site work is ongoing) to review construction progress <br />• review of shop drawings for site-related materials and maintenance of a shop drawing <br />log <br />• interpretations in writing or in the form of supplemental drawings necessary for <br />performance of the work <br />• review of contractor payment applications and recommendations for payment <br />• preparation of change orders and construction change directives <br />• conduct inspections and punch lists as part of final project close-out <br />• request and assemble final written guarantees, affidavits and other contract closeout <br />documents from the Contractor prior to approval of final payment to the Contractor <br />• serve as agent of the County as described in the contract documents <br /> <br />This proposal is based on an estimated 2 week period of construction activities that require <br />daily oversight. Inspections are assumed to be part time and limited to a maximum 4 hours <br />onsite per day average. Due to the nature of the services under this task, it will be billed on a <br />time and material basis. <br /> <br />FEES: The actual cost of providing the services described above will be based either upon a <br />lump sum amount or upon time expended and materials (T&M) consumed. The County will <br />not be invoiced for T&M items below for time not expended or material not utilized. Invoices <br />are issued monthly and are due upon receipt.
