Please explain your <br />decision to not apply <br />for benefits: <br />In March and part of April I tried ev ery day for weeks to get cov er <br />unemployment. It was hard to get onto the site, the questions made <br />no since for a gig income worker and I could nev er reach a person by <br />phone. Ev entually I gav e up. Being a resident of Orange Co. <br />disqualified me for the funds offered by sponsoring arts councils- <br />United Arts in W ake Co. and Durham Arts Council. Orange Co. had a <br />limited window for applications and I seemed to miss those windows. <br />On May 12th my niece passed away from an 11 month battle with <br />cancer. I hav e been focusing on family, griev ing and celebrating the <br />life of my niece. The v irtual memorial was on Aug. 11th. I'm shifting <br />into reshaping some of my work, and hopefully, adapting for a new <br />reality. <br />Grant amount <br />requested: <br />600.00 <br />How do you intend to <br />use the grant, if <br />awarded? <br />To pay bills, support dev elopment of digital skills, tech and needed <br />electronic equipment. <br />How else may we <br />help you right now? <br />Any support is appreciated. Sharing resources for dev eloping online <br />offerings is also useful, tech support. Money helps most directly. <br />Thank you for all you do!
