Special Warranty: Provide manufacturer's 10 year warranty against defects in materials and <br />workmanship. Subject to provisions of the warranty, manufacturer agrees to repair or replace non- <br />conforming products or its parts for the warranty period following substantial completion. <br />1. Warranty Period: 10 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br />A. Products: Construction and features to be in accordance with TMI catalogs TRIMLINE built-in storage <br />system, that is fully modular and dimensionally integrated to allow owner interchange of doors, drawers, <br />and interior components. Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following or <br />equal: <br />1. TMI Systems Design Corporation <br />2. Stevens <br />3. LSI <br />4. Cabinets By Design <br />5. (Custom Cabinet Manufacturer of equal quality) <br />B. Substitutions: <br />1. It is the intent of this specification to establish performance and quality criteria consistent with <br />pre-established standards of design and function herein described. Casework systems not meeting <br />these minimum standards will not be accepted. <br />2.2 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Open Interiors: Any open storage unit without solid door or drawer fronts and units with full glass doors <br />and glass inset doors. <br />B. Closed Interiors: Any closed storage unit behind solid door or drawer fronts, sliding solid doors, and/or <br />acrylic doors. <br />C. Exposed Ends: Any storage unit exterior side surface that is visible after installation. <br />D. Other Exposed Surfaces: Faces of doors and drawers when closed, tops of cabinets less than 72" above <br />finished floor. <br />E. Semi-Exposed Surfaces: Interior surfaces which are visible, bottoms of wall cabinets and tops of cabinets <br />72" or more above finished floor. <br />F. Concealed Surfaces: Any surface not normally visible after installation. <br />2.3 MATERIALS <br />A. Core Material: <br />1. Particleboard: Medium density 45-50 pound western particleboard of fire or pine meeting or <br />exceeding ANSI A 208.1- 1993, M-3 requirements. Thickness used are 1/4", ½", 3/4", 1". <br />2. Hardboard: Prefinished hardboard in 1/4" thickness meting or exceeding commercial standards <br />CS-251. <br />B. Decorative Laminates/Veneer Where Applicable: <br />1. High pressure decorative laminate DP28 (.028), NEMA Tests LD-3-1991. <br />2. High pressure decorative laminate GP50 (.050), NEMA Test LD-3-1991. <br />3. High pressure decorative laminate PF42 (.042), NEMA Test LD-3-1991. <br />4. High Pressure cabinet liner CL20 (.020), NEMA Test LD-3-1991. <br />5. Melamine laminate tested to meet NEMA Test LD-3-1991. <br />6. High pressure backer BK20 (.020). <br />7.
