Frame Anchors: ASTM A 591/A 591M, Commercial Steel (CS), 40Z coating designation; mill <br />phosphatized. <br />E. Inserts, Bolts, and Fasteners: Hot-dip galvanized according to ASTM A 153/A 153M class C or D as <br />applicable. <br />F. Glazing: Comply with requirements in Division 08 Section "Glazing." <br />2.3 STANDARD HOLLOW METAL FRAMES <br />A. General: Comply with ANSI/SDI A250.8 and with details indicated for type and profile. Provide metal <br />frames for doors, transoms, sidelights, borrowed lights, and other openings, according to ANSI/SDI 100, <br />and of types and styles as shown on drawings and schedules. Conceal fastenings, unless otherwise <br />indicated. Fabricate frames of minimum 16-gauge thick cold-rolled steel sheet. <br />B. Interior Frames: Fabricated from cold-rolled steel sheet unless metallic-coated sheet is indicated. <br />1. Fabricate frames with mitered or coped corners and continuously welded corners. <br />2. Fabricate frames of minimum 16-gauge thick cold-rolled steel sheet. <br />C. Hardware Reinforcement: Fabricate according to ANSI/SDI A250.6 with reinforcement plates from <br />same material as frames. <br />D. Fabricate frames as indicated in door schedule with an integral kerf and fire approved Seals. <br />2.4 FRAME ANCHORS <br />A. Jamb Anchors: <br />1. Stud-Wall Type: Designed to engage stud, welded to back of frames; not less than 0.042 inch (1.0 <br />mm) thick. <br />B. Floor Anchors: Formed from same material as frames, not less than 0.042 inch thick, and as follows: <br />1. Monolithic Concrete Slabs: Clip-type anchors, with two holes to receive fasteners. <br />2.5 STOPS AND MOLDINGS <br />A. Fixed Frame Moldings: Formed integral with hollow metal frames, a minimum of 5/8 inch high unless <br />otherwise indicated. <br />B. Loose Stops for Glazed Lites in Frames: Minimum 0.032-inch-thick, fabricated from same material as <br />frames in which they are installed. <br />2.6 ACCESSORIES <br />A. Mullions and Transom Bars: Join to adjacent members by welding or rigid mechanical anchors. <br />B.
