Laughlin <br /> Environmental Services Division <br /> <br />DATE: 05-13-20 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Orange County Regional Landfills <br /> Environmental Monitoring Programs <br /> Proposal: Assessment of Corrective Measures: Part 2 <br /> Evaluation of Corrective Measures (1,4-Dioxane) <br /> <br /> DAA Project No. R00592-224 Lump sum fee = $6,300 <br /> <br />In order to precisely track the costs associated with multifaceted projects (such as solid waste facilities), <br />we offer a task-oriented system of project management. Task-oriented project management consists of <br />the following steps: <br />• develop the scope of services for a specific task <br />• develop a budget for that specific task <br />• establish a project task number <br />• invoice by that project task number <br /> <br />Task. Draper Aden Associates proposes to prepare an evaluation of corrective measures toward meeting <br />the following requirements of North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A (Subchapter 2L, Section .0100, <br />.0200, and 0.0300), as listed under 15A NCAC 02L .0106 (g). Specifically, we propose to: <br />▪ conduct a quantitative assessment of risk to human health, as may be attributed to all constituents <br />of concern in groundwater, using information presented in the previously prepared Nature and <br />Extent Study <br />▪ perform research concerning techniques that have been used to remediate groundwater <br />contaminated with 1,4-dioxane <br />▪ evaluate the potential applicability of various remediation techniques in the context of site-specific <br />hydrogeologic and hydrogeochemical conditions at North landfill <br />▪ select one or more remediation techniques deemed most likely to be effective in remediating 1,4- <br />dioxane in groundwater at North landfill <br />▪ estimate costs associated with selected remedies <br />▪ prepare a report deemed suitable for direct submission to North Carolina DEQ <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 707F5FE4-ABBF-468C-B9EC-4376803136AB
