<br /> <br /> <br />Memorandum of Agreement <br />Program: Registered Dietitian Services <br /> Parties: Orange County Sheriff and the Orange County Health Department <br /> <br />This Memorandum of Agreement is entered into this 1st day of July, 2020, by and between the <br />Orange County Health Department (“OCHD”) and Office of the Orange County Sheriff <br />(“Sheriff”) and (collectively referred to as the “Parties”). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into this Memorandum of Agreement in order <br />to establish the mutually agreed upon conditions upon which the Orange County Health <br />Department will provide the Orange County Sheriff’s Office with nutritional guidance for <br />their Jail menu. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties to this Memorandum hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />Orange County Sheriff agrees to: <br /> <br />1. Provide the Orange County Health Department’s registered dietitian with the menus three <br />weeks prior to the time they are needed. <br /> <br />2. Provide the registered dietitian with updated guidelines on policies listed in Food Sections <br />.0903, .0904 and .0905 of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Health and Human <br />Services Section. <br /> <br />3. Hold responsible, their food service staff to contact the dietitian if a special diet is <br />requested by a medical provider. <br /> <br />4. Assume responsibility for ensuring that menus are followed and for any substitutions that <br />may be made. <br /> <br />The Orange County Health Department agrees to: <br /> <br />1. Review the written three-week cycle menus and provide recommendations to the Orange <br />County Jail based on the policies and procedures listed in Food Sections .0903, .0904 and <br />.0905 of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Health and Human Services Section. <br /> <br />2.
