The project consists of 151 mosaics made by members of the community and then installed together on <br />the westward-facing wall within the Eno River Parking Deck located behind Weaver Street Market in Downtown <br />Hillsborough. The garage is property of Orange County and proper permission has been granted from Steven Arndt, <br />Director of Asset Management Services, and Travis Myren, Deputy County Manager. <br /> <br />This project consists of four phases: <br />1. Preparation and Education <br />a. Provide guidance to OCAC staff regarding required time and supplies needed to create a 16”x16” mosaic <br />b. Create an instructional video showing participants how to make a mosaic from home <br />c. Host a Facebook Live video with participants to demonstrate technique and answer questions <br />2. Communication and Assistance: Answer questions from participants through email <br />3. Installation <br />a. Prepare mosaics for installation by insuring proper size and grouting each piece <br />b. Prepare the surface of the Parking Garage Wall for installation <br />c. Install 151 mosaics on garage wall, in addition to commemorative plaque in a nearby location, TBD <br />4.
