This program, administered by Cooperative <br />Extension, is a collaborative effort between the County Manager's Office, Human Rights & <br />Relations, Cooperative Extension and Triangle United Way. For the past three years, <br />approximately 15 students have spent five weeks of their summer vacation in a program that <br />provides them with an opportunity to: <br />a) Build leadership; <br />b) Demonstrate community service; <br />c) Collaborate with community and government services; and <br />d) Develop a tangible end project for the Orange County community. <br />Two graduates from the program, Dawn Boudwin and Kevin Shuford, will be in attendance to <br />present their report and answer questions. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with receiving the update, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the update for <br />informational purposes, <br />
