"Rule 15c2-12" means Rule 15c2-12 promulgated by the United States <br /> Securities Exchange Commission under the Securities Act of 1934. <br /> Section 160A-20" means Section 160A-20 of the North Carolina General <br /> Statutes. <br /> "State" means the State of North Carolina. <br /> "Term Bonds" means the 2021 Bonds maturing in the years , which <br /> are subject to sinking fund redemption as provided in Section 2.01(b) and 2.05. <br /> "Trust Agreement" or "Agreement" means this Agreement, as it may be duly <br /> amended or supplemented. <br /> "Trustee" means the bank or trust company from time to time serving as <br /> trustee under this Agreement, whether the original or a successor Trustee. <br /> Rules of Interpretation. Unless the context otherwise requires, <br /> (a) An accounting term not otherwise defined has the meaning assigned to <br /> it in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and any accounting <br /> term should be understood to include any successor term or other new term with a <br /> substantially equivalent function. <br /> (b) Unless otherwise indicated, references to Articles, Sections and <br /> Exhibits are to the Articles, Sections and Exhibits of this Agreement. <br /> (c) Words importing the singular will include the plural and vice versa, <br /> and words importing the masculine gender will include the feminine and neuter <br /> genders as well, and vice versa. <br /> (d) The headings on sections and articles are solely for convenience of <br /> reference. They do not constitute a part of this Agreement nor should they affect its <br /> meanings, construction or effect. <br /> (e) Words importing the redemption or calling for redemption of Bonds <br /> should not be deemed to refer to or connote the payment of Bonds at their stated <br /> maturity. <br /> 70 <br />
