This $8,200 will be used to fund additional <br /> animal related supplies. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 11.The Department of Social Services has received the following revenues: <br /> • Special Child Incentive: The department has received $37,139 for the number of <br /> adoptions completed by Social Services in the prior year. These funds are to be <br /> used to promote the adoption program and enhance agency adoption services. This <br /> amendment authorizes these expenditures in the DSS Client Fund, outside of the <br /> General Fund. <br /> • Cardinal Innovations: The department has received notification from Cardinal <br /> Innovations of funds totaling $217,760 for a broad set of services designed to <br /> support children in custody of the County. This sub-capitated payment arrangement <br /> includes Cardinal Innovations paying Social Services a per-member, per-month rate <br /> for each child in the custody of the County for whom Cardinal received Foster <br /> Children capitation payments from the North Carolina Department of Health and <br /> Human Services during the previous month. This amount is for April through July <br /> 2021. This amendment authorizes these expenditures in the DSS Client Fund, <br /> outside of the General Fund. <br /> • Toy Chest: The department has received $28,385 in donations for the annual toy <br /> drive. This amendment authorizes the receipt of these donations in the DSS Client <br /> Fund outside of the General Fund. <br /> • NC InCK: The department has been approved to become a partner with Duke and <br /> UNC, as well as Alamance, Durham, Granville, and Vance counties in NC Integrated <br /> Care for Kids (NC InCK). The NC InCK model is a child-centered service delivery <br /> and state payment model aimed at improving the quality of care and reducing <br /> expenditures for children insured by Medicaid or NC Health Choice. NC InCK will <br /> provide the department$81,800 to fund 1.000 FTE Social Work Supervisor III, which <br /> will aim to integrate services for children, including physical and behavior health, <br /> food, housing, early care, and education. This amendment authorizes the 1.000 <br /> time-limited FTE through December 2026 and the receipt of the funds. <br /> • Home Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG): The department has received <br /> $13,657 in additional Home Community Care Block Grant funds from Triangle J <br /> COG for COVID relief. These funds will be used to provide in-home aid services for <br /> adult/disabled clients in order to keep them living independently in their homes. <br />
