She said turnout seemed good.
10 Rachel Raper said the absentee voting set records. She said total voter turnout was
11 76%, which was not record setting.
12 Commissioner Bedford said there were so many unknowns, and having a safe election
13 was a goal.
14 Commissioner Bedford asked if it will be a March or a May primary next year.
15 Rachel Raper said the Executive Director of the State Board of Elections requested that
16 all elections, including municipal and the March 8th primary, be moved to May 3, 2022. She said
17 the General Assembly has not taken action on that. She said municipalities in Orange County
18 do not elect by district, they elect at-large, and the census data delay does not affect Orange
19 County municipalities the way it does elsewhere.
20 Commissioner Bedford asked if a November election is expected in Orange County.
21 Rachel Raper said yes.
22 Travis Myren resumed the PowerPoint presentation:
23
24 Slide #22
General Government
• County Attorney—page 120
Total expenditure budget-$644;260
- Qecruaseoif$29,541Cmr4wedta Bea.Budget
Recommended BudgetChanges
-$56,097 increase is net County trim to add a 1.0 FTE SteffAtlon ey
a Half of W4 poaalom coal is*Wgetud In the Coway AIX r y/s Of Ke the c*wr
W ie Ludg.L-din Chid Suppoaa
-W.628d*crw ckolanducMno10.6FTESr$4a9AMc y
s Cr meehiltime Humen Righ2end Reletica.f4earar
-$3,(}60 decreeee i IrIJgetion expenses to meeting fwe percent(5%)reduction in
operation.
3o ORARNGE_COUNNTY
25
