14 <br /> 15.This budget amendment provides for the County's contribution of $77,500 related to the <br /> upfit costs associated with the new Eno Arts Mill multipurpose arts space. The upfit <br /> included installation of sinks, re-keying of locks, installation of doors, and a small <br /> kitchenette for staff and tenants of the space. This project will be funded with available <br /> Article 46 Sales Tax Fund reserves, outside of the General Fund. With this appropriation, <br /> $697,668 remains in reserves. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Criminal Justice Resource Department <br /> 16.The Criminal Justice Resource Department has deferred the following revenues: <br /> • Drug Treatment Court— As of June 2021, the department has $5,000 in deferred <br /> ABC Board revenue, to be deferred to FY 2021-22. These funds will be used to <br /> assist justice-involved individuals in the drug treatment court. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Orange Rural Fire Department <br /> 17.The Orange Rural Fire Department has requested a portion ($16,750) of the district's <br /> available, unassigned fund balance for the purchase of a replacement air conditioning unit <br /> for station one and a replacement water rescue boat that is leaking and unable to be <br /> repaired. With this appropriation, approximately $158,826 remains in the district's <br /> unassigned fund balance or 9.7% of budgeted expenditures. This budget amendment <br /> provides for the appropriation of $16,750 from the district's fund balance for the above <br /> stated purpose. (See Attachment 2.) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these items other than as noted otherwise above. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above.
