She resumed <br /> 3 the PowerPoint presentation: <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Slide #13 <br /> Facial Equity Index (Data Collection) <br /> • The use of data and metrics to track progress ofCounty's <br /> racial equity initiatives and to follow trends in racial <br /> disparities_ <br /> • Metrics also facilitate the alignment of outputs with <br /> outcomes and the coordination of efforts across departments <br /> and jurisdictions. <br /> • The Racial Equity Index will be a transparent public access to <br /> data with built public data dashboards to help assess <br /> questions of equity, <br /> • The dashboards contained within the index will include sub- <br /> county maps and key performance indicators(KPIs)to help <br /> track essential indicators and equity performance. <br /> • Wherever possible these KPls would be disaggregated by <br /> geography, race/ethnicity, income,and gender. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> 1 NORTH CAROL[NA <br /> 6 <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Slide #14 <br /> Using Analytics <br /> The use of data and analytics Is Integral to the work of GARE <br /> to: <br /> • Present a descriptive picture of where the county and <br /> [municipalities are currently in racial equity work; <br /> • Provide prescriptive information to inform decision making; <br /> and <br /> • Track progress over time <br /> • The DARE data plan includes a three-stage process that will <br /> begin with descriptive analysis of the problem, a statistical <br /> analysis of the factors informing racial equity in the workforce, <br /> and then a racial equity index that combines and weights <br /> several indicators in a prescriptive analysis that can inform <br /> decision making. <br /> GRANGE COUNTY <br /> 14 NORT]1 UROL[NA <br /> 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Annette Moore said the racial equity plan (REP) will be based on data, to avoid gaps and <br /> 12 mistakes. She said the County will be collaborating with SAS on the data for the project, and <br /> 13 SAS will be working on the first phase of the racial equity index over the next three months. <br /> 14 She expressed thanks to Nancy Coston who worked on developing this relationship and getting <br /> 15 this work done by SAS for free.
