32 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Resolution of Intent to Adopt the FY2021-22 <br /> 3 Orange County Budget <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The items outlined below summarize decisions that the Board acted upon June 8, 2021 in <br /> 6 approving the FY2021-22 Orange County Annual Operating Budget and the FY2021-22 (Year <br /> 7 1) Capital Investment Plan Budget. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has considered the Orange County <br /> 10 FY2021-22 Manager's Recommended Budget and the FY2021-22 Manager's Recommended <br /> 11 Capital Investment Plan Budget; and <br /> 12 <br /> 13 WHEREAS, the Commissioners have agreed on certain modifications to the Manager's <br /> 14 Recommended Budget as presented in the FY2021-22 County Manager's Recommended <br /> 15 Budget on May 4, 2021; and to the FY2021-22 Manager's Recommended Capital Investment <br /> 16 Plan Budget as presented on April 6, 2021; <br /> 17 <br /> 18 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 19 expresses its intent to adopt the FY2021-22 Orange County Budget Ordinance on Tuesday, <br /> 20 June 15, 2021, based on the following stipulations: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 1) Property Tax Rates <br /> 23 <br /> 24 a) The ad valorem property tax rate shall be set at 81.87 cents per$100 of assessed <br /> 25 valuation. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 b) The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools District Tax shall be set at 18.30 cents per <br /> 28 $100 of assessed valuation. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 c) The Fire District and Fire Service District tax rates shall be set at the following rates <br /> 31 (all rates are based on cents per$100 of assessed valuation): <br /> 32 <br /> 33 <br /> • Cedar Grove 7.63 <br /> • Greater Chapel Hill Fire Service District 13.87 <br /> • Damascus 10.80 <br /> • Efland 7.28 <br /> • Eno 8.98 <br /> • Little River 6.39 <br /> • New Hope 10.12 <br /> • Orange Grove 6.27 <br /> • Orange Rural 9.49 <br /> • South Orange Fire Service District 9.09 <br /> • Southern Triangle Fire Service District 10.80 <br /> • White Cross 12.34 <br />
